Easter is foremost a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. Easter is also the surest sign that spring is in the air. With flowers in bloom and brighter days on the horizon, we have much to look forward to. While we brainstormed ideas for our Easter sets this year, we sorted through our cookie cutters. We came across 3 bunny cutters and could not decide which one to use, so we made all three! We thought this would give you the opportunity to select the one you like, or maybe you will decide to mix it up and make all the cookies for Easter bunnies and eggs 3 ways.

Supplies needed to make Easter Bunnies and Eggs 3 Ways:

Floppy ear bunny:

Outline cookie with pink pipe consistency icing.
Immediately place cookie in a tray and pour sprinkles over the top.
Dump the excess sprinkles and tidy up the sides.
Add a dot of icing and place a pink dragee for the bunny tail.

Hatchling egg:

Outline the bottom half of cookie and draw a zig zag across the middle using white pipe consistency icing. Next outline the top half of the cookie with yellow pipe consistency icing.
Fill the bottom of the cookie with white flood consistency icing.
Next, fill the top half of the cookie with yellow flood consistency icing.
Add eyes and eyebrows.
Next add a nose and hair bow.
Finally, add the crack in the egg using black pipe consistency icing.

Bow tie bunny head:

Using pink pipe consistency icing, draw squiggle lines down both ears.
Using a dry paint brush, spread out the icing along the ears.
Outline the bunny head and add long oval shapes on the ears using white pipe consistency icing.

Fill the head with white flood consistency icing.
Now draw a circle and outline of a bowtie with purple pipe consistency icing. Fill center with purple flood consistency icing. Add blue stripes and yellow polka dots. Allow to dry 10 minutes.
After drying time, finish the sides of the bow tie.
Draw the shapes of the eyes with black pipe consistency icing. Add a white accent to the eyes by applying a small amount of flood consistency icing to the tip of your scribe tool, or toothpick, and dot the eye.
Next draw the nose, mouth and whiskers using black pipe consistency icing.
Finally, fill the nose with pink flood consistency icing and outline the head and pink section of ears with white pipe consistency icing.

Polka dot egg:

Outline egg with green pipe consistency icing.
Fill with green flood consistency icing.
Apply random polka dots using flood consistency icing.
Finish adding polka dots using the rest of the colors. Take notice how the first dots you added (blue and yellow) sink into the icing. The rest of the dots will do the same.

Tall bunny:

Outline bunny with white pipe consistency icing.
Fill with white flood consistency icing.
Add pink flood consistency icing to the ears. Drag the icing into the desired shape with a scribe tool, or toothpick.
Now outline the shape of overalls using pink pipe consistency icing.
Fill overalls using pink flood consistency icing.
Add polka dots using blue flood consistency icing.
Add more colored polka dots using the rest of the colors. Don’t forget the shoulder straps.
Using green pipe consistency icing, add a small pocket on the bib of the overalls, draw buckles on the shoulder straps and cuffs on the pant legs.
Finally, add the eyes, mouth and whiskers using black pipe consistency icing.

Decorated Easter egg:

Outline the bottom half of the egg with pink pipe consistency icing, make sure to create a concave shape in the center. Outline the top half with blue pipe consistency icing.
Fill the bottom half with pink flood consistency icing.

Add blue and green stripes using flood consistency icing.
Fill the top section with purple flood consistency icing.
Using pipe consistency icing for the details, add the zig zag pattern.
The zig zag pattern melted into the cookie, so we re-applied it. Add two yellow stripes and multi-color polka dots to the bottom section. Or, get creative and create your own design.
