How to make Hanging with my Gnomies gnome cookies:
Start by outlining the body of the gnome using pipe consistency icing in green.Next, fill body with flood consistency icing and set aside to dry for a least 15 minutes.Using a grass decorating Wilton tip 233, pipe a scruffy beard with a stiff consistency orange icing. While the icing is still wet, clean up the top edge by scraping off excess icing where the hat should be with a boo boo stick.Next, pipe the outline of the gnome hat using white pipe consistency icing.Fill the hat with a flood consistency icing in white and set aside to dry completely.Once the hat has dried, prepare paints. Place a drop of each icing color on a palette or plate. Add a couple of drops of grain alcohol. Because of its high alcohol volume, the liquid evaporates quickly keeping the surface of your icing smooth. As you work, you may need to add more grain alcohol to the gel paste. After your paints are prepared, its time to have fun painting! Paint one color at a time making sure to clean your brush in water and paper towel between each color. Finally, finish the gnome by adding the signature nose at the base of the hat using a skin tone icing color.
