Steps for making I’m a Big Sister Cookies
For this set, we decided to honor both the newborn and the big sister. Selecting a soft color palette that would work for both was the key. We decided on a white, soft turquoise, pale pink, and a deeper strawberry pink for contrast. The footie pajamas is one of our favorite baby-themed cookie cutters. Tying in the colors of this cookie with the t-shirts for the “grown-up” big sister cookies was one way to make the set cohesive. To complete the collection, add some monograms and hello baby cookies on a simple circle.
Start by outlining the footie pajamas cookie in white icing Next, fill with white flood consistency icing Immediately add dots of light blue flood consistency icing Or add stripes in pink pipe consistency icing Once the cookie has dried for a little while, pipe details in white
Outline t-shirt cookie with pipe consistency icing Then fill with flood consistency After letting icing dry, pipe saying with another color Try different phrases using the same font
